About Tulā Code
What is Tulā Code?
Tulā Code is a longevity nutrition platform built around a high-cocoa-flavanol dark chocolate base. We use the fat matrix of cacao as a bioavailability-optimised carrier for clinically dosed bioactives. In plain terms: we turn longevity nutrition into a small, daily ritual people actually enjoy.
The name combines Tulā (Sanskrit for balance) with Code (the biological systems that govern energy, metabolism, and ageing).
What makes Tulā Code different from other chocolate?
Three things. First, the base is genuinely clean: just cocoa mass, cocoa butter, date powder, and vanilla. No refined sugar, no emulsifiers, no flavourings. Second, every SKU is built around a specific longevity rationale, with functional ingredients dosed at meaningful levels and named by their branded source. Third, the format is designed for daily adherence, because the science only works if you actually take it.
Is Tulā Code a chocolate or a supplement?
It depends on the SKU. Our Everyday Wellness range is functional food, designed for daily, enjoyable use. The Longevity Ritual is a precision-dosed square that sits closer to a supplement in intent but is still a food product. We're deliberate about this distinction on every label.
Products and Ingredients
What's in your base chocolate?
Our 71% cocoa base is made from cocoa mass, cocoa butter, date powder, and vanilla. That's it. No refined sugar, no emulsifiers (no soy or sunflower lecithin), no flavourings, no preservatives.
Why date powder instead of sugar?
Dates bring natural sweetness alongside fibre, minerals, and polyphenols, so the sugar arrives with its nutritional context intact. The result is a chocolate with intrinsically low glycaemic load, no blood sugar spike, and a deeper, more caramel-like flavour than refined sugar provides.
What are your functional ingredients?
We work with named, clinically researched branded ingredients rather than generic commodity actives. Across the range you'll find Naticol marine collagen peptides (Weishardt, France), PureWay-C, MGCPQQ, Kaneka Ubiquinol, K2VITAL DELTA, PureWay-D3, and CocoActiv cocoa flavanols (Givaudan/Naturex). Each SKU lists its exact stack on the back of the pack.
Are your ingredients organic?
More than 90% of our ingredients are organic. Where an ingredient is not certified organic, it is sourced for traceability, batch-level certificates of analysis, and clinical pedigree, and is always non-GMO and free from preservatives, additives, and unnatural processing aids.
Are your ingredients non-GMO?
Yes. All ingredients we use are non-GMO.
Do you use palm oil?
No. We never use palm oil, and we don't add any oils to our chocolate beyond what's naturally present in cocoa butter.
Do your products contain sulphur dioxide or any preservatives?
No. We don't use sulphur dioxide or any other preservative.
Do you use emulsifiers like soy lecithin or sunflower lecithin?
No. Our chocolate is emulsifier-free. We achieve our texture through long conching of high-quality cocoa mass and cocoa butter. The only product where we use sunflower lecithin is the food supplement category.
What's the cocoa percentage?
Our base chocolate is 71% cocoa, calculated from actual recipe weights of cocoa mass and cocoa butter. One of our SKUs is 80% cocoa dark chocolate - Prana.
Nutrition and Science
Where do your nutritional values come from?
Our nutritional information is derived from validated food composition datasets, including the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), the Quadram Institute, and the UK Department of Health's Dietary Reference Values for Food Energy and Nutrients. Reference Intakes (RIs) are based on an average adult diet of 8,400 kJ / 2,000 kcal, per EU food labelling regulations.
For precision, please refer to the nutrition panel on each pack.
What are Reference Intakes (RIs)?
Reference Intakes are general daily nutrient guidelines for an average adult. Your individual needs may be higher or lower depending on age, sex, activity level, genetics, and health context. RIs are a baseline, not a prescription.
Are your products clinically studied?
We have an active independent research partnership with King's College London, led by Professor Ana Rodriguez-Mateos, Professor of Human Nutrition. This includes the SWAP study (Snacking for Wellbeing And Perimenopausal Health), a pilot investigating the impact of a novel functional snack on perimenopausal symptoms and wellbeing.
Our chocolate has been independently measured at around 1,238 mg GAE per 100g in total polyphenols, roughly four to twenty-five times higher than typical fresh blueberries (48 to 304 mg GAE per 100g).
We have additionally tested pur chocolate base with Eurofins for nutrional values and microbiology, heavy metals and toxins. All of which give us the claim of clean and safe chocolate. The nutrional numbers are lab tested.
What health claims do you make?
We use only health claims authorised under the GB and EU Nutrition and Health Claims Registers, with the required conditions of use. Depending on the SKU and its active stack, this may include claims relating to cocoa flavanols and normal blood flow, vitamin C and normal collagen formation, vitamin D and normal bone, and vitamin C and protection of cells from oxidative stress. Each authorised claim appears on-pack with the legally required wording.
Are your products meant to treat or cure any disease?
No. Tulā Code is food, not medicine. Our products are designed to complement a healthy, varied diet and lifestyle, not to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. If you are managing a medical condition, please speak to your healthcare provider before changing your routine.
Dietary Suitability and Allergens
Are your products vegan?
Our Everyday Wellness range is plant-based. The Longevity Ritual contains Naticol marine collagen peptides, so it is not vegan; it is suitable for pescatarians.
Are your products dairy-free?
Yes. We do not use any dairy ingredients.
Are your products gluten-free?
Yes. We do not use gluten-containing grains in our products.
Are your ingredients non-GMO?
Yes. All our ingredients are non-GMO, No palm oil, trans-fats, sugar alcohols, or preservatives.
Are your products halal?
Our products are made without alcohol or animal-derived ingredients in the Everyday Wellness range, and with marine collagen in the Longevity Ritual. We are not currently Halal-certified by a recognised authority. If certification matters for your context, please get in touch.
Are your products suitable for people with allergies?
Our products are made with cocoa, dates, vanilla, and a range of botanicals, adaptogens, and bioactives. Some SKUs contain nuts, seeds, or fish (marine collagen). Full allergen information is declared on each pack in line with UK food labelling law. If you have a serious allergy, please read the full ingredients list on the SKU you intend to purchase, or write to us.
Are your products produced in a facility that handles other allergens?
We make our chocolate in a small, controlled production environment. Where cross-contact risk applies, this is declared on-pack with a precautionary allergen statement.
How to Use
How do I store my chocolate?
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Refrigeration is not required and may dull the flavour, but in very warm conditions a cool cupboard or a wine fridge works well. Once opened, reseal the pack and enjoy within two weeks for best taste, though it will keep longer.
When should I take the Longevity Ritual- Foundation?
One 20g square daily, ideally at the same time each day to build the ritual. Many people pair it with their morning coffee or as a post-lunch moment. Take it with food if you find any active ingredients sit better that way.
Can I have it alongside other supplements?
In most cases, yes. Tulā Code is food, and the dosages of each active are designed to be meaningful but well within everyday intake ranges. If you are already taking high-dose vitamin K, vitamin D, or CoQ10 supplements, or if you are on prescription medication (particularly anticoagulants), please speak to your healthcare provider before adding the Longevity Ritual to your routine.
Can I eat it during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?
Our base chocolate is clean food. However, several of the adaptogens, botanicals, and dosed bioactives in our functional SKUs are not specifically tested in pregnancy. We recommend discussing any functional or supplemental product with your healthcare provider before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Sustainability and Packaging
How do you think about sustainability?
We think about it across three layers: ingredients, packaging, and operations. We work with named, traceable suppliers wherever possible, source more than 90% organic, and run on small-batch, artisan-scale production rather than mass manufacture. Our recipes are deliberately additive-free, which keeps the upstream supply chain simpler and cleaner.
Is your packaging recyclable?
We have recyclable and compotsable packaging. Our outer cartons are made from FSC-certified board and are widely recyclable through standard kerbside paper streams. The inner wrap is a NAUTREFLEX lined sachet with zero plastic and compostable.
How do you source cocoa?
We work with suppliers who can provide batch-level certificates of analysis covering heavy metals and mycotoxins, and we maintain ongoing dialogue on bean origin, farmer relationships, and environmental practice. As we scale, deepening sourcing transparency is a priority.
Pricing and Value
Why have your prices changed?
We've upgraded several formulations to higher functional potency and moved to a more refined packaging system that better protects active ingredients and shelf life. Alongside these improvements, ingredient costs (particularly cocoa) and labour and production costs have risen meaningfully. We held off as long as we reasonably could, but a small adjustment became necessary. We remain committed to uncompromising quality and appreciate your continued support.
Why is Tulā Code priced at a premium?
Three reasons: the ingredients (named, clinically researched, traceable), the production (small-batch, artisan-scale, in-house tempering and finishing), and the formulation work (every SKU is developed against a specific longevity rationale with dosing that earns its label). We don't compete with confectionery on price; we compete with longevity supplements on enjoyment and consistency.
