What is a spore-former probiotic?
Spore-forming bacteria are unique probiotic microorganisms capable of transforming into spores to withstand extreme conditions. This dormant state, allows them to survive high temperatures, acidity, and other rigorous processing challenges. Their resilience makes them particularly valuable in food applications, as they can endure the harsh journey through the digestive tract to reach the intestines. Once there, spores germinate, transforming from a
dormant state to an active state and effectively delivering their health benefits where they are most needed. This capability positions spore-forming probiotics as a ROBUST choice for maintaining digestive health and supporting overall wellness.
Bacillus subtilis HU58® Spore-forming probiotic
Clinically tested, these probiotic spores support a healthy gut microbiome by encouraging the growth of other beneficial microbes, and lead to an increase in the production of beneficial short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs), which are known to help maintain a healthy intestinal barrier and promote anti-inflammatory effects.
Bacillus clausii SC109®
This is a strain of B. Clausii that is known to have antimicrobial and immunomodulatory properties supporting its use for the treatment and prevention of intestinal bacterial flora disorders, with particular efficacy suggested for diarrhea according to clinical trial data and a systematic review and meta-analysis.
Weizmannia coagulans SC208®
Previously known as Bacillus coagulans SC208 isn't naturally found in the body, but it produces lactic acid in the gut. It helps to relieve symptoms of constipation and IBS.
How Long Does It Take for Probiotics to Work?
Typically to notice significant changes in ones symptoms is between 2 to 3 weeks, but it can take longer depending on how inflamed and unbalanced your microbiome was to begin with. Everyone's gut is unique !
We reccommend to eat one bar every other day for the first week to adjust your gut gradually.
