Flavanol content quantified by the Department of Twin Research
Results informed our final CocoActiv™ dosing strategy
Quantified, not estimated.
The theobromine content in high-flavanol dark chocolate has been associated with slower biological ageing in our published cohort data.
Most chocolate brands estimate flavanol content from raw cocoa percentages. We didn't accept that. The Department of Twin Research at King's College London is one of the largest twin registries in the world and a global leader in nutrition and longevity research.
They independently quantified the actual flavanol content of our dark chocolate base. Their measurements determined the exact CocoActiv™ supplementation needed to reach the EFSA-authorised 200mg threshold per square.
